The entry-level model of the sporty cross e-bike in the E-CROSS 29 category. This category reflects the current demand for greater comfort in everyday riding, including off-road, and the popularity of 29" wheels. All E-CROSS 29 models have suspension forks with 80 mm of travel. It boasts an excellent price/performance ratio. For reasonable money, the Author Edict offers all the benefits of the top-class Shimano STEPS e-drive, whose battery is neatly recessed into the down tube. As a result it has a very favourable weight, helped by the 2× butted duralumin tubes and the light RST air fork. Gear changes are handled by the new Shimano Cues touring groupset with 9 speeds. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes are standard. The bike is designed for sporty recreational use on roads and paved forest tracks. For this purpose it can be fitted with mudguards, a rack and various bags. The bike will suit calmer riders who prefer a relaxed ride through the countryside without much effort. They will be rewarded with a surprisingly long range, which even with a relatively small battery can reach up to 100 km in normal rolling terrain. A very popular and versatile e-bike that owes its popularity not only to its attractive price.
