A top-of-the-range cross e-bike with a mid-drive motor and a fully integrated frame battery – thats the Author Empire E-CROSS 29. This category reflects todays demand for more comfort in everyday riding on and off the road and the popularity of 29" wheels. All E-CROSS 29 models have suspension forks with 80 mm of travel. The model benefits from our brands many years of experience in designing classic cross bikes and, thanks to the e-drive, takes their capabilities to a new level. A new comfortable geometry, an air fork and quality components are complemented by the quiet and reliable Japanese Shimano STEPS system. The frame is made of 2× butted hydroformed aluminium with a fully integrated electrical system and internal routing of hoses and cables. A large display with a remote control makes it easy to set the individual riding modes and offers all the functions of a cycle computer. A separate switch integrated into the top tube makes switching on and off easier. A lightweight RST fork with a wide range of adjustment. Gear changes are handled by the new sporty Shimano Cues groupset with 10 speeds. Tektro hydraulic disc brakes guarantee safe deceleration in all conditions. Thanks to the efficient motor, sensitively metered assistance and relatively very low weight, it offers a surprisingly long range. Of course, mudguards, a rack and various types of bags can be added.
