Authors carbon model in the hugely popular gravel category. Thats the Author Guru 3.0, which in a relatively short time has risen to become one of the most popular bikes in its class. It owes this mainly to its lightweight carbon frame with internal routing of hoses and cables and very practical mounting points for various bags and racks. It has a versatile geometry balancing sporty and comfortable tuning. Shifting is handled by a special Shimano GRX gravel groupset in a 2 × 12 version. Proven Mavic Allroad built wheels, ready for tubeless use, also contribute to the ease of riding. Hydraulic disc brakes and the associated front and rear thru-axles are standard. The huge popularity of these bikes comes from their endless adaptability – with smooth, narrower tyres its a sporty rocket that leaves even classic road bikes behind. Conversely, with wider off-road tyres it flies surprisingly fast and comfortably on gravel roads. Fitted with racks and bags, it will serve as a touring bike on a multi-day expedition.
