Named in honour of our favourite taqueria after a ride – the Marin El Roy is our idea of the perfect hardcore hardtail: it climbs up and crushes the descent. We combined the soul of steel with super-modern gravity geometry and added massive 29" wheels and equipment that can handle the roughest terrain.
The Marin El Roy frame is made of butted and double-butted CrMo steel (Series 3). At the front you will find the legendary Marzocchi Z1 fork with 140 mm of travel, and we chose the rest of the equipment so that we would ride it ourselves:
- 12-speed Shimano Deore drivetrain
- X-Fusion Manic dropper seatpost
- Shimano four-piston disc brakes
- Maxxis Assegai 29x2.5" tyres – extra grippy and ready for anything
El Roy is a bike that is not afraid of any trail, any descent or any challenge. Simply a proper steel warrior with a rough attitude.
