The GHOST Lector FS, with modern geometry and a sophisticated carbon frame, is a full-suspension machine suited to any XC challenge and marathon use.

The GHOST Lector FS is a full-suspension XC machine with a meticulously crafted race carbon frame and SUPERFIT® geometry that ensures an ideal riding position for every rider. Years of development in cooperation with the factory XC racing team have produced the Traction Link® suspension system, which stands out for its sensitivity and minimal losses when pedalling. When the rear shock is activated, the rear hub axle moves perpendicular to the terrain (not along an arc) and thus effectively overcomes a carpet of roots or boulders. Conversely, on climbs both shocks can be quickly locked out with a lever on the handlebars.

The key design element of this frames kinematics is the one-piece carbon rear end, which is moulded as a whole to achieve maximum stiffness and minimum weight. This design ensures precise power transfer and accurate wheel guidance in corners, while eliminating unwanted flex during aggressive riding. The stiffness-to-weight ratio is ideally complemented by the sensitivity of the TractionLink system, so the bike feels stable, predictable and responds precisely to every input.

Every detail of the suspension reflects thoughtful bike development. All pivots have the same axle diameter, which simplifies servicing and increases the structural stiffness of the frame. This approach reduces bearing stress and guarantees a long service life of the system, so the bike keeps its stiffness and precision even after many seasons.

Another advantage is the so-called Disconnect brake mount – the rear brake caliper adapter is attached at one end to the rear thru-axle, thereby isolating braking forces from the suspension so that it stays sensitive even under heavy braking. Traction improves on technical descents and the ride is smoother and more controllable. The design also reduces stress on the pivots and extends the life of the frame.

The geometry and construction of the Lector FS reflect a combination of race XC speed and "down-country" stability. Travel of 120/120 mm (on sizes M-XL), long reach (489 mm in size M) and a wheelbase of 1 214 mm bring confidence on descents, while the frame retains the sporty riding position of a race XC machine.
