Mahle X20 drive: extended riding with a natural feel

A distinctive feature of this e-bike is the choice of the Mahle X20 drive unit. It is a compact and proven system that makes the impossible possible. The assistance is proportional to the force you put into the pedals, achieved by a torque sensor in the bottom bracket that communicates with software. You will feel as if you were constantly riding with a pleasant tailwind, making every ride a sporting experience.

The advantage of the X20 motor is that it runs practically without additional mechanical resistance above a speed of 25 kilometres per hour. The systems power delivery gradually fades out, which ensures a very smooth riding experience. This also contributes to a natural feel on the bike. In addition, you can control the motor with your smartphone via the Mahle app and customise it to your preferences. The system even adapts to your riding behaviour. With the Mahle X20 you have three levels of bike assistance, which our product managers in cooperation with Mahle tailored specially for the Grifn model. This "custom mapping" is a typical example of our everlasting pursuit of perfection.

Same geometry, unlimited possibilities

The geometry of the E-Grifn is the same as the Grifn RS, with a removable front derailleur clamp, room for tyres up to 42 millimetres and a UDH dropout. The battery is neatly integrated into the frame, so the E-Grifn keeps its sporty look.
