Ridley GNITE GTX Rival Recon (UD Carbon/Bronze Gold)
The combination of the technical advantages of a mountain bike with the aerodynamics of drop handlebars makes the Ignite GTX an ideal race machine for the most demanding terrain.
This "monster gravel bike" has a purely mountain bike geometry with a slacker steering angle that provides higher stability. Our developers added flex-stays for increased comfort. Ridley complements this 100% mountain bike geometry with room for tyres with an aggressive tread (29 x 2.3).
On top of that we added Ritchey Venturemax handlebars, which have a pronounced flare (24°) and a short drop. The combination of an aerodynamic position on these handlebars and stability in the wide drops provides maximum stability. They also offer more hand positions and allow both strong acceleration and a lower centre of gravity from the drops.
This "monster gravel bike" can be viewed in two ways: either as a gravel bike with enhanced abilities, or as a mountain bike universally adapted by the addition of drop handlebars.
