Pells frame SEVEN 29 (glossy blue)
The Seven 29 is the culmination of many years of development of Seven frames adorned with a whole range of awards and victories. The front frame triangle with absolute torsional stiffness is complemented by an RRT rear end. The resulting frame gives the rider uncompromising power transfer, the short rear end and wheelbase give the bike amazing handling and agility, and the racing XC geometry with a lower centre guarantees stability, grip and control over the bike in all situations. All models are offered both with a suspension fork with 100 mm of travel and optionally with the full-carbon rigid PELLS FCF 29 fork, which thanks to its weight of 670 g, lateral stiffness and ability to eliminate slight vibrations can mean further acceleration on technically undemanding courses. E.g. the XTR model with a rigid fork weighs 8.2 kg.
BB92 – Wider bottom bracket shell on the frame with internally integrated bearings, the central part of the frame is wider and therefore stiffer.
RRT – Reduced Rear Triangle The short rear end (achieved by bending the seat tube) and the significantly reduced rear frame triangle contribute to the maximum lateral stiffness of the system and perfect transfer of the riders power into forward motion. The flexible stays, which are "laid down" at a sharper angle compared with the classic construction, at the same time guarantee maximum comfort without loss of energy. This technology makes full use of the possibility of engineering a carbon composite with different characteristics in the horizontal and vertical axis.
Tube to tube – The production process consists of making precisely "tuned" frame segments, which are not glued into pre-prepared lugs, but assembled and joined into one whole by a precisely defined procedure using an anisotropic composite with continuous fibres.
Full Carbon Sandwich Tube – The technology of manufacturing the individual frame segments. For the individual tubes the top and inner layer of the weave is chosen with regard to high shape rigidity. Between these layers are compressed inner weaves, whose angles and layers correspond precisely to the requirements in the given part of the frame. The result is increased torsional stiffness of these parts and thus of the whole.
Head tube 1 1/8“ – 1 1/2“ – a combination of the low weight of a classic headset (upper cup) with the stiffness of a 1.5“ construction. Thanks to this construction the head tube area is stiffer, the bike has better stability at high speeds, steering is more precise and the bike is thus easier to control.
Carbon dropout – full-carbon dropouts reducing the weight of the frame, complemented by an end piece colour-matched to the overall design of the bike.
Carbon Post Mount – direct connection of the brake caliper to the frame.
